KeyCreator Dongle Activation Instruction

If this is your first time using KEYCREATOR, and you are using an existing Dongle (eg CK97, 98, 99, 19, 20 or 21), then your SIM may not been activated to run KEYCREATOR. The activation process must be performed only once. Any future releases, upgrades or even change of computer do not require your Dongle to be re-activated.

  1. Make sure the Dongle is plugged into your computer.
  2. Make sure the Dongle Driver been installed and it is functional.
  3. Using My Computer or Windows Explorer, explore to the root installation directory of KeyCreator (eg. C:\KeyCreator6.5), and run “Register.exe” Application.
    • You can also download the Register.exe utility from STS Website
  4. The dialog window “Registering Your KeyCreator Product” will display the relevant information to activate your Dongle.
    • register.exe.jpg
    • Note the status of your Dongle, and the corresponding Locking Code. The Locking Code is a string of 20 characters. For each Dongle, there are many Locking Codes possible. If the status of your Dongle indicates Not Activated, then an ‘Activation Code’ is needed to successfully activate your Dongle to run with KeyCreator.
  5. Construct an email to cadcam@sts.com.au. Include in the email the following details:
    • Company Name
    • Contact Name
    • SIM Identifier No.
    • SIM Locking Code
  6. You will receive a reply email within 24-48 hours, with an ‘Activation Code’ attached.
  7. Again, using Windows Explorer or My Computer, explore to the root installation directory of KeyCreator (eg. C:\KeyCreator5.0), and run “Register.exe” Application. Click the “Activate” button to input the activation code received from email. Click the “Update License” button.
    • A message dialog should appear, stating “License Successfully Updated”. This concludes the activation of your Dongle.
